Juicy Pork Burger

(Serves 5)

Juicy pork burger, meet golden sautéed onions. This combo is rich, flavorful, and downright irresistible, seasoned with Riega®, of course. It’s comfort food with a serious upgrade.

You Will Need

For the burgers:

2-2 1/2 lbs ground pork

2 tbsp Riega® Pollo Rojo Seasoning

1 tsp salt (optional, to taste)

For the sautéed onions:

2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced

1 tbsp olive oil

Pinch of salt

To serve:

5 burger buns

Optional toppings: avocado slices, cheese, lettuce, tomato, hot sauce, mayo, etc.

Directions
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground pork with Riega® Pollo Rojo seasoning and salt. Mix until evenly distributed. Form into 5 equal patties and let rest while prepping onions.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15–20 minutes until soft and golden.
  3. Grill or pan-sear the pork patties over medium-high heat for 5–6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through (internal temp 165°F).
  4. Place each pork patty on a bun, top with sautéed onions, and add your favorite toppings.
